Patients and families

When a hospital refers a patient to AnidasoCare, or a patient comes into our care, we keep a record so that we can care for them safely. It includes:

  • contact details, home location and directions, and caregivers’ names and phone numbers;
  • the referral from the hospital, including the diagnosis and the discharge summary;
  • assessments, care plans, visit reports and any concerns raised about the patient’s care;
  • the consent decisions the patient (or someone on their behalf) has made;
  • invoices and payments for care.

Who can see it

Only the people involved in a patient’s care can see their record, and each person sees only what their role needs. Our nurses see the patients they visit. Our operations team, who arrange visits and payments, do not see clinical details such as symptom scores or medicines. Every time someone opens or changes a record, it is logged.

Sharing with your hospital

The hospital that referred you can follow the referral. After that, we only share how your care is going if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time. With your agreement, hospitals see that you are in our care, how many visits you have had and when, and how your care ended.

Only if you separately agree, the cancer doctor who referred you (not their colleagues) can also read your care plan, our specialists’ assessments, the nurses’ visit reports and any concerns raised about your care, and is told if there is an urgent concern. They never see payments, or notes about your family or your emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Every time they open these updates, it is logged.

Text messages and email

Our text messages and emails never include patient names or medical details. They only tell staff that something needs their attention, and ask them to sign in to the secure platform.

Hospital staff

Staff accounts on the AnidasoCare platform hold your name, work email, role, hospital and, if you add it, your mobile number for alerts. We record sign-ins and the actions you take, to keep patient records secure.

How we protect information

  • All connections to the platform are encrypted.
  • Uploaded documents are stored privately and encrypted.
  • Each hospital can see only its own patients and referrals.
  • Staff accounts are locked after repeated failed sign-ins, and can use two-factor sign-in.
  • Records of visits, reports and concerns cannot be deleted, so the history of a patient’s care stays complete.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or withdraw your consent to sharing. Contact us and we will help.
